This introductory course explores the fundamental techniques and principles of watercolor painting. Students will develop an understanding of how water and pigment interact, learning to control washes, explore color mixing, and work with the unique qualities of watercolor on paper. Through guided exercises and practical demonstrations, students will build foundational skills in brushwork, transparency, layering, and color relationships while developing confidence with the medium.
